Bulls Program overview

Overview

The Bulls Rep & Dedicated Select (Bears) program is designed for players seeking a higher level of competition and development.

• Season runs from January to September
• Includes winter training, league play, and tournaments
• Focus on skill development, teamwork, and commitment

What’s Included

• Winter training (January-April) led by Strike Zone Training
• Access to indoor training facilities 
• 20-22 league games (COBA)
• Weekly practices during the season (May-August)
• 3-6 tournaments, plus playoffs and potential provincials. Tournament costs are paid by the team. 
• Full game uniform and practice gear

Additional equipment and apparel may be purchased separately.

Time Commitment

Rep baseball requires a consistent commitment from both players and families.

• 2 games per week during the season
• 2-4 hours of practice per week
• Additional time for tournaments and travel

Participation is expected in both off-season and in-season training.

Tryouts

• Open to 8U-18U (excluding HPP & EBLO)
• Begin the week after Labour Day and run through September
• Led by head coaches and/or independent evaluators

Teams are selected progressively (Team 1, Team 2, Team 3, Dedicated Select), with all rosters approved by the Rep Committee.

Fees

• Registration fees are outlined on the Bulls Fees & Refund Policy page
• Additional team fees ($300-$800) cover tournaments and team expenses
• 12U Cooperstown teams have higher costs (see FAQ below)

Schedule

When are games played?

• 2 games per week Monday to Thursday
• Schedule created by COBA and released in April

Commitment

Can my child play another sport?

• This program should be the priority
• Conflicts will impact attendance

Can we take a vacation?

• Yes—notify coaches early
• Tournament availability is important

Playing Time

• Not guaranteed
• “Fair, not equal” approach
• Focus on development and competition

Tournaments

• 3-6 per season
• Playoffs in August
• Provincials (if qualified)

12U Cooperstown

• 3 teams typically attend
• Cost: $2,500-$3,000
• Participation is required if selected

Winter Training

• January-April
• Attendance expected

Out-of-Town Players

• Release may required before tryouts. Visit our Releases page.

14U-18U (COBA):

• Tryout without release allowed
• Release required once rostered
